Walmart Statement Necklace: Are You a “Mart” Girl?

Some people would not be caught dead at Walmart.  I’m not one of those people.

I am just as comfortable at Walmart as I am at Louis Vuitton or at a thrift store.  I love the whole idea of high-low.  Give me a thrift store skirt and a top from Walmart paired with a designer anything and I’m happy.

My mom and I were picking up some things at Walmart a couple of weeks ago and she found a display of ten dollar statement necklaces.  We each picked out our favorites and I came away with this pastel stone and crystal vintage inspired number.

My favorite “Mart” store is Target but it’s quite a ways from where I live.  Walmart and Kmart, however, are close by.  And who doesn’t like picking up something “fun” when you’re in the middle of picking up the week’s groceries.

What I’m wearing:  Dress, Maurice’s.  Grey cardigan, thrifted.  Silver shoes, Shoe Show.  Vintage earrings, my grandma’s.  And of course…Statement necklace, Walmart.

Isn’t it so fun … to pick up a little treat in the course of running necessary errands! You are looking summer lovely my dear!

I do shop at Walmart, but I like Target better. My favorite purse, my underwear, most of my tee shirts and socks are all from Target! Your Walmart necklace, though, is a gorgeous accent piece for your light colors. I haven’t stopped by for a long time, but I have to tell you how much I love your haircut!!!

Look at you in that sassy hair! I love Target most because Walmart is far from my house.

I can’t believe the necklace is from there. It looks like its from Stella and Dot.

Hi there! I’m enjoying your blog. Just had to say your adorable pixie haircut inspired me to get one of my own. I love it! I look forward to more posts.

    Your hair looks amazing!

I must admit I’m trying to avoid Walmart lately. It is not far from the Loblaws where I buy my groceries and I really prefer Loblaws and I don’t want them to go out of business because of Walmart. It seems they have some cute stuff in there now though. That necklace is sweet.

Go to Wal-Mart for certain things, but I don’t consider it “fun”. Never even thought to look at their jewelry, but I’ll have to check it out. Your necklace is gorgeous. I get a lot of jewelry bargains at the Van Heusen Outlet for really cheap on sale. And now lets talk about your hair: fabulous, cute, slick and pretty darn awesome.

Love your necklace – and your new haircut is so cute! I actually have two statement necklaces that I got at Walmart for $5.00 each and I love them!

Sweet necklace, such a value! Your mum has a sharp eye! Such a pretty dress and outfit overall, but I cannot take my eyes off your FABULOUS long pixie! Beautiful, and such fun attitude! Charming, nothing less!
Oh, yes … more a Walmarter involuntarily than less, but it’s what’s around. We have one local grocery store, but they aren’t great either. But since we have to drive to get to both stores, we can use some other, smaller and better food sources in the Big City!
Again … loving your hair! Going to let my top lengthen a bit and keep the back and sides short, short, short!

I love to hear from readers,
